| Ad Smasher automatically stops pop-up ads and all other Internet annoyances. It stops animated Flash ads, third-party activity (pages that pull special ads or send information to other Web sites), timer ads (full-page ads that sleep for 10 to 15 seconds, then take you to what you clicked on), Web bugs, messenger-service ads, and most floating ads. Ad Smasher also is a cookie manager with unique stealth, freeze, and smart-allow options. Its other features include the ability to erase Internet traces when closing your last browser, password protection on Internet Explorer, and the ability to block offending material with a Web-content filter.
Version 4.1.12 fixes a problem with new Flash ads causing Smasher to hang and use 100 percent of CPU. |
